Meloura was born from a lifelong love of natural hair and a desire to help others embrace the beauty of their curls and coils.

I have worn my natural hair my entire life, but about twelve years ago I began intentionally embracing and styling my natural curls in ways that celebrated their true texture. Over time, I became known in my community for my natural hairstyles and my passion for caring for textured hair.

Natural hair is also a part of my family story.

I have two children who proudly wear their natural curls. My son has Type 3 curls, while my daughter shares my Type 4 coils. I also have three nieces who love wearing their curls naturally as well. My older and youngest niece have Type 4 hair, and my middle niece has Type 3 hair.

Watching the different textures in our family from all ages helped me realize something important: education and encouragement in the natural hair community is a must.

After publishing my first children’s book celebrating textured curls, I founded Meloura Hair. The brand was created to teach women and young girls how to style and care for their curls and coils while encouraging them to embrace the beauty of their natural hair.

Meloura is more than haircare. It is a celebration of identity, culture, and confidence.

Through thoughtful hair products, educational tools, and empowering stories, Meloura exists to help every person wear their crown proudly.
